Terms of Use

These terms are the deal between you and PLATE. when you use PLATE. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use PLATE.
Who can use PLATE.
You must be at least 13, and under the age of digital consent where you live (14 in Spain) you need a parent's permission. One account per person, and you are responsible for what happens on it.
Your content
What you post stays yours. So that PLATE. can work, you give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize, display and distribute your content inside the service and in previews of links to it, for as long as it is on PLATE. Only post what you have the right to post: your own photos, or photos you have permission to share.
Keep it about the food
PLATE. has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. Do not post or do any of the following:
- Nudity or sexual content, graphic violence, or content that promotes self-harm.
- Hate speech, harassment, threats or bullying of any person or group.
- Illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Other people's private information, or impersonating someone.
- Spam, scams, bots, or anything that games likes and cook-offs.
Any plate, comment or person can be reported from its ••• menu. We review reports and remove objectionable content within 24 hours, and we may remove content, limit features or close accounts that break these rules, without notice where the situation calls for it.
Cook-offs
Cook-offs are themed contests decided by likes from the community. Entries must follow these terms. Prizes are described on each cook-off and may be replaced by something of similar value; no purchase is necessary, and a cook-off is void where prohibited by law.
Leaving
You can delete your account at any time from Settings, or by emailing hello@plating.app. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
What we don't promise
PLATE. is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it running and safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we are not responsible for content posted by other people. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us for the service, which is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; if a change matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. If you are a consumer, you can bring claims in the courts of the place where you live.
